Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the North Coast (CCCS) is a professional, accredited, human service organization that has been helping people with their financial concerns since 1987. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service agency, our mission is: To provide professional consumer credit education, confidential counseling, and debt reduction programs to all segments of the community regardless of ability to pay. Headquartered in Arcata, CCCS serves Humboldt, Del Norte, Mendocino and Lake Counties. Our employees, along with our volunteer Board of Directors, are dedicated to our mission and purpose. Our accreditation through the Council on Accreditation for Children and Family Services, a nationally-recognized, independent accrediting body, guarantees the highest standards of fiscal integrity, quality service delivery, and client database security. We are members of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and our counselors are certified through that organization.
