CCCS receives funding from:
- Voluntary contributions from creditors that participate in Debt Management Plans (DMP)
- Grants for counseling and education
- Client service fees
Voluntary contributions from creditors and grants enable us to offer credit counseling services at no cost to the client, and allow us to offer Debt Management Plans at low cost ($1 to $35 per month).
For those on Debt Management Plans, creditor accounts will always be credited 100% of the money paid through CCCS. We will work with creditors regardless of whether they contribute to the agency.
CCCS provides services regardless of ability to pay. Fee Waivers are provided to clients based upon income. Fee Waiver guidelines are included in the CCCS application. All fees except Debt Management Plan monthly fees can be paid by check, cash or money order. Counselors reserve the right to refuse payment by check for situations in which bank accounts are an issue.
